A Week Without Pants: Day 3 + a giveaway!

It's day three of my Week Without Pants and I'm up early today because... a) I don't want to feel totally worthless and b) I have exciting news!

But first things first.

Why, yes, I did just choose this photo because my dog is once again in it.

Confession: This is the first time I've ever worn this skirt. I bought it under sales-lady pressure and then did some serious second-guessing because, hello, elephant in the room, it's a mullet skirt.

But it looks so pretty from the back and I love the color, so it might get a few more wears out of me yet.

The only thing is, it's beyond annoying to wear. The skirt's slip is way too tight yet not opaque enough to cover much underwear, but since it's so tight it's hard to put another slip on under it. My point? The underwear situation is just questionable. Secondly, the skirt has a large black elastic band around the top (really designers? Quit with the elastic bands or at least hide them under fabric), that I find to be really ugly, so I tuck it in, which makes wearing it pretty awkward. But, details, I guess.

The skirt, shirt and earrings come from local boutiques where I used to live in Kansas, while the shoes come from some far away land I can't remember since I purchased them so long ago.

BUT! Enough with that!

I am so excited to announce that I've joined Crystal from The Happy Type and six other awesome bloggers in bringing you a Korean Beauty Giveaway!
Crystal has sent me so many Korean beauty products in care packages, and trust me, when I say they are fantastic. In fact, I might ask for this same package from her for Christmas.

It’s no secret that South Korea is any cosmetic and beauty product lover’s playground. For years South Korea has been one of the world’s leaders in beauty product production and most recently its innovative BB and CC creams have set the states a buzz. Birchbox calls South Korea ground zero for beauty innovation”, so why not see what all the fuss is about?

Lucky for you, you don’t have to get on a plane to Korea to take part in the Korean cosmetic boom! I have spent the better part of two years living, learning, and loving the country of Korea and in honor of my return home to America, my friends and I are giving little old you the opportunity to get your hot little hands on a whole slue of Korean cosmetics and beauty products.

  1. Haha! Mullet skirt? I believe they are called hi-lo skirts or SOMETHING closer to that. You crack me up. That color DOES look amazing yon you and the skirt looks great, but next time we'll go look together and I'll make the sales lady back off because I know how you are about clothing you buy and aren't sure of. I can hear you sighing RIGHT now as you look your closet over.

  2. You gals are the best! Thank you all so much for offering such a lovely and generous giveaway.

  3. Thanks for the giveaway, and I really like the No Pants series you have going on. My office is casual, so I seem to always be wearing jeans... basically I need more skirts and dresses is what my closet is saying. Haha.

  4. I just found your blog! I love it! Can't wait to read more!

  5. You know me so well. I was good when I moved though--I put all the clothes I will never wear (and maybe only wore once if that) into a bag for Goodwill. DONE!

  6. Thanks, Cindy! I'm glad you stopped by and good luck! :)

  7. Haha, I know what you mean. My last job was pretty casual too so even if I wanted to get all done up, people would just side-eye me and ask why I was dressed so fancy. Thanks for the comment!
